What is the "Cycleau Methodology"?

• A tool, in the form of a CD-ROM, that can be used by stakeholders as a guide to best practice for water environment management, and to help them to monitor their own aquatic environments in a better way
• The final output of the project or "quality brand"

How can the Methodology CD help catchment managers?

• In its application to situations in their own catchment
• Via use of the information database (documents, presentations...) to understand how to apply the Cycleau Methodology in any catchment 
• By visualisation of case studies to help illustrate the innovative methods used

How has the CD been quality controlled?

A peer review of the draft methodology CD was carried out by a panel of independent experts (catchment managers, spatial planners, community development facilitators) from Germany, Latvia, Romania and Sweden. 

The expert panel presented their comments and discussed the usefulness of the Cycleau quality brand at the final Cycleau Conference in October 2006, in the presence of almost 400 international delegates. Their main conclusion was that the CD is a very useful tool for catchment management - especially for educational purposes.
