Teignbridge District Council hosts the Teign Estuary Partnership, a management body consisting of a coalition of statutory agencies, local and regional interest groups and the wider public who use the area. The Teign Estuary is one of South Devon's most valuable assets. The rich heritage, wildlife and landscape is cherished by local communities and many visitors to the area each year.
The Teign Estuary Partnership works to protect the natural environment whilst encouraging appropriate opportunities and recognising the important needs of commerce, fisheries, recreation, agriculture and tourism.
